This page brings together the standard forms for research, funding, ethics and volunteering at JSW Law. Using the right form, completed in full, is the quickest way to a decision.
Before you submit
Use the current version: download forms from this page each time. Older versions may not be accepted.
Complete every section: incomplete forms are returned, which delays review.
Ethics first: where research involves human participants, ethical clearance from the RERC must be obtained before any research funding is released or data collection begins.
Plan your timing: research grant proposals are reviewed within twenty-one days to six months, depending on the funding source and timing; ethics applications should be submitted at least forty-five days before data collection is due to start.
Submit and track: send completed forms to the Research Centre by email or in person. The Centre will acknowledge receipt and confirm the next steps.
Need help? Centre staff are happy to discuss a draft before you submit.

Research Financial Proposal
Research Financial Proposal (Research Centre Guideline, Annexure B, with Annexure C for conference and book events)
Use this form to set out a detailed, itemised budget for a research grant, or to apply for support for the editing, design, distribution and related costs of scholarly publication. Conference and book-event support uses the Conference and Book Event Proposal.

Publication support: evaluated by the Editorial Board within forty-five days.
Conference support: submit before the event and, where chapter 11 of the Guideline applies, at least eight weeks before. A decision is made within twenty-one working days. Retrospective applications are not considered. Faculty may apply up to twice each semester, subject to funds.
After the event: submit a post-event report, with receipts and proof of participation, within fifteen days of your return.
