Credible analysis depends on reliable evidence. The JSW Law Archive keeps the records, primary sources and legal heritage on which that evidence rests. It holds JSW Law’s institutional memory, from the Royal Charter and founding documents to research records, data and outputs, and it makes Bhutan’s legal history available to researchers, students, the justice sector and the public.
From January 2027, this work is led by the Archives Division of RALS, which runs the JSW Law Archive on the second floor of the JSW Law Library. The Division begins as a small team, so its work is phased: systems first in 2027-2028, then collections and digitisation in 2028-2030, with public heritage work, including oral histories and the JSW Law Museum of Law, growing as capacity allows.
